During the winters of World War I and World War II, when the ground was too frozen for burial, the bodies of fallen soldiers were temporarily stored in the depot’s storerooms. Waiting. In stillness. In honor. In grief.

Those walls held more than cargo.

They held sons. Brothers. Husbands.

Visitors have reported unexplained footsteps in empty rooms, the feeling of being gently watched, sudden cold pockets near the former storage areas, and an emotional heaviness that seems to settle without warning.
